Cheshire Messy Play creates an exciting and safe space for your little one to explore through the fun of messy play. It’s a win-win: your child gets to use their senses to learn and grow, and you don’t have to worry about tidying up afterwards!
Our weekly classes have been carefully planned and prepared for children aged 6 months – 5 years. Each session will have 8 exciting taste-safe and non-toxic messy play activities to explore and a painting or drawing activity all based around a different theme each week.
Cheshire Messy Play provides fun and relaxed classes, helping your child work on his or her development while exploring a range of textures and materials.
Char has 18 years of experience in childcare and knows how to create exciting but safe opportunities for your little one to learn. Each activity is going to have learning objectives and an extendable option, meaning children of all ages will be kept engaged.
Cheshire Messy Play is excited to be able to offer you and your little one weekly classes in Bollington and Macclesfield with 50% sibling, block booking and childminding discount.
Bespoke party packages are also available as well as DIY messy play packs, perfect for presents or for you to bond with your child at home ❤️
Crafternauts is a unique art and craft club for Pre-School children (18month – 4 years) combining storytelling with creative activities. We offer fun, educational art and craft classes, inspired by a careful selection of imaginative and informative books.
The aim of these classes is to develop children’s wider vocabulary, explore, create, invent and experiment with art and craft materials, finding happiness and magic in the process.
Classes start with a story/book together, followed by a relevant craft activity. You work with your own child talking and moving around a selection of fun activities experimenting with painting, drawing, sculpture, printing, paper technology and textiles. These sessions will allow you and your child to experience a range of different art and craft at your own pace but leave the tidying up to us!
Engaging in art and craft develops children’s sensory and processing skills. Touching, using, exploring materials and tools helps children make sense of the world around them. Children develop their full body movements, use muscles in their hands and fingers to improve fine and gross motor control and hand to eye co-ordination.
Books capture children’s interest and storytelling sparks their imagination. We know that children’s vocabulary can be expanded tremendously through stories and reading for pleasure, and combining art and craft with vocabulary rich books helps to activate language in children.
We use the STAR Approach from the National Literacy Trust to Select, Teach, Activate and Review Tier 2 vocabulary from books. Crafternauts brings words to life, developing the children’s love of literature and promoting creativity.
