The Easter Holidays in Cheshire this year will be a little different to the norm. Hopefully though, there should be more to do than last year (!!) and (all being well….) from 12th April many of our local outdoor attractions are reopening.
Here’s our round up of whats happening for families in and around East Cheshire This Easter…..
Easter Clubs and Camps
Having been forced to close for many of the school holiday over the last year, many holiday clubs and camps hope to be able to operate this Easter, in a covid secure way. Peak Pursuits, for example, are running their hugely popular watersports camps in Astbury and Trafford in ‘Adventure Bubbles’. Your kids can get stuck into a load of great fun activities both on and off land, including paddleboarding, kayaking to bushcraft.

Easter Events and Days Out
When I was preparing the Easter listing for this year I was struck by just how much there used to be for the kids to do in Cheshire before covid. We usually have HUNDREDS of Easter events listed to keep the kids busy over the holidays – everything crossed we can bring those to you for the Summer Holidays!! In the meantime, things are certainly looking better than last Easter when we were in the throes of lockdown 1 – whilst there aren’t many organised events, a lot of our local days out are planning to reopen around 12th April, meaning that you can get out and about a little more during the second week of the holidays, since the ‘stay at home’ rule is to be lifted on 29th March (for our breakdown of the roadmap out of lockdown, click here).
There’s also an exciting new attraction coming to Cheshire!! BeWILDerwood Cheshire had to postpone its planned opening last year due to the pandemic, and instead now plans to open on 12th April! In their own words, ‘
Think the biggest wonky wooden play structures you can imagine, high up in the trees. A massive, muddled maze to get lost in, wobbly zip wires and giant slippery slides. All located in an enchanted woodland – woweee! There’s also storytelling, crafts, den building and lots more soopa doopa family fun to keep you and your explorers busy all day! Plus, it’s all included in the ticket price – woohoooo!”
