Congleton Museum Roman Week
ROMAN WEEK IS BACK!! Bringing you plenty of fun activities to keep busy during the Februatry half term 2024 , all listed below. Excellent for any young people interested in History, or studying Romans at school.
Tuesday 20th – Roman archaeology handling session
Wednesday 21st – Paint your own wooden sword or shield (£3) – this is the only activitythat is charged
Thursday 22nd – Centurions ROME’in around the museum, meet real Roman soldiers.
Friday 23rd – Write your name in Roman numerals and dress-up activities
Saturday 24th – All roads lead to Rome, an interactive session about Roman life with object handling
Sunday 25th – Hidden Treasure, a talk on the Roman Hoards in Congleton Museum (2pm)

Greater Manchester Police Museum Half Term Activities
Additional half term open days on 22nd and 23rd February 2024.
Please note that the museum can get very busy during the school holidays and you may need to queue outside. Entry to the museum is free.
During the holidays access to the courtroom is restricted to timed performances roughly every half an hour. These performances are free, but a ticket is required. Tickets can be picked up on the day on a first come, first served basis.

Delamere Forest
The Forest is accessible by its own train station or there’s a large car park. It’s free to enter but parking charges apply.
There’s LOADS to do in the Forest – 3 walking trails, 2 cycling trails, Go Ape, Segway, Nordic Walking and lots more. There’s bike hire and a cafe as well. Additional charges apply for some activities.
The Mini Mumblers love hunting for the Gruffalo statue hidden in the woods – to celebrate his 25th birthday, there is a new interactive family trail that features all sorts of party-themed activities and games, along with fun facts to teach you about life in the forest for the Gruffalo and other creatures.
Reaseheath Zoo – Kid for a quid
Every weekend in January and February, and Feb half term.
All visitors aged 4-15 can enter the zoo for just £1 when purchased with a paying adult
