Half-term at The Whirligig: Creative Writing in Nature

Wild Rumpus have got family sessions in The Whirligig Woods every day over half term. Choose from puppetry, sketching, building a terrarium and more! No experience necessary, just come and have fun! Booking via Eventbrite.

On Wednesday 27 Oct 2021, 11:00 – 12.30, join writer and creative practitioner Bernadette McBride for her workshop on nature writing.

Learn more about the art of writing about nature, and how creatively engaging with the natural environment can help children connect to climate change issues in a calm and confident way. Kids will get the chance to write their own story to take away, be involved in writing a group story, and do lots of other fun nature-inspired activities built around mindfulness and boosting self-esteem. For families with school age children.
