Enjoy Charles Brocklehurst’s informal garden as it comes alive in spring; snowdrops, narcissi and cyclamen lead the way, and are soon followed by the vibrant colour of rhododendrons, magnolias, and azaleas. The walled garden has been restored in line with Brocklehurst’s vision, and now the white perennial borders sing out in summer. On warm days, enjoy following the hare trail through the woods, followed by a picnic. Autumn provides a great opportunity for invigorating walks around the garden and surrounding parkland.
Kids can run around safely – some (but not all) walks are unsuitable for buggies.
