Babies Together | Monday,10 – 11 am at Oakenclough Chidren’s Centre
and Wednesday, 10 – 11 am at Knutsford Children’s Centre

For babies up to 18 months, this is a relaxed, fun and interactive session with lots of singing and play. You will gain new ideas for your baby as well as information on developmental milestones and ways for you to support your babies ongoing development. This is a weekly session.
Each week we will have different and exciting activities which we will make together. Once a month, a health professional will be in attendance should you want to discuss anything particular about your child’s development. Dates are: 25 April, 23 May, 20 June 2022. Toddlers Together

Wednesday, 10 – 11 am at Oakenclough Children’s Centre | If your child is aged between 18 months old and 2.5 years, please join us for our Toddler’s Together session where you and your child will have the opportunity to sing, create, play and talk with a member of your local Children’s Centre.
Once a month, a health professional will be in attendance should you want to discuss anything particular about your child’s development. Dates are: 27 April, 25 May, 22 June. Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) will drop in on the session on Wednesday, 20 April and Wednesday, 8 June 2022. This group will be drop-in starting week commencing 19 April. |
Weaning Advice | Virtual | On this session you will find a lot of helpful information on when to introduce your baby to solid foods and tips to make it easier, and what baby-led weaning is. Introducing your baby to their first foods is an important time in your baby’s life and can be lots of fun.
We also operate a Virtual Weaning session delivered by Health Professionals and Family Service Workers. This session is open for online booking. Please visit Oakenclough Knutsford and Poynton Children’s Centres Facebook Page for more information on how to book a place. We will confirm your booking by email with the link to virtual meeting via MS TEAMS. Sessions will be available monthly. Dates are: 20 April, 16 May and 27 June 2022. |
Stay and Play | Tuesday, 10 – 11.30 am at Oakenclough Children’s Centre | Suitable for under 5s. Come and explore a range of play activities, including messy play and outdoor play, with an interactive rhyme and song time to end.
Some of our activities will be based in our outdoor area so weather appropriate clothing is encouraged. We also suggest that you bring a change of clothes for your baby in case they get messy! This group will be drop-in starting week commencing 19 April. |
Well Baby Clinic | every Tuesday afternoon | Check your babies’ weight, growth and development with a member of the health visiting team.

SMILE | SMILE sessions cover understanding perinatal mental illness, learning new coping strategies, ways to wellbeing, self-care, improving self-esteem and strengthening resilience.

Little Stars/Special Education Needs | every fortnight | Suitable for children 0-8 years with additional needs. Including activities to support your child’s development, messy play, sensory play and physical play, in a relaxed and fun environment.

Development Checks | Every Day | Look out for your invite to your child’s 9 months and 2.5 year old development check with your health visiting team. Please ring them on 0300 123 4263. |
Sensory Experience | Every Day | Sessions are limited and are suitable for babies under 1 and children with additional needs to enjoy our sensory equipment and resources in a quiet relaxing environment. Baby Massage

Baby massage is a lovely way to enjoy time with your baby and it can also help you bond together.
Baby Massage is a 5-week course where our trained Family Service Workers will demonstrate a variety of soothing holds and rhythmic strokes. These can help your baby to feel securely attached, reduce crying and can help with discomforts such as colic. This face-to-face session will last up to 1 hour and will be carried out with a small group of parents. |

Baby and Me | Baby and Me is a face to face session, which runs over 3 weeks as an alternate of Baby Massage. The sessions last up to 1 hour and support both you and your baby.
Each session focuses on your baby’s learning and development and activities which you can do with your baby in your home. These activities include sensory play, songs and rhymes and messy play. You will also have the opportunity to meet and talk to other parents and share experiences that you are all having as you welcome your new baby. Bookstart Corner | This evidence based 4-week course is 1:1 home based and focusses on making rhymes, sharing books, stories and mark making part of the family’s daily routinesThe programme is intended to be carried out with children who are possibly at risk of speech delay.

Play Can Make A Difference | This course promotes parent and child interactions to develop children’s communication skills. This is done through different play activities with lots of messy play.
