1.Glebe Farm, Astbury
A great way to spend a few hours with the kids. Entry to Glebe Farm is totally FREE and parking is also free and plentiful. They have all the usual farm animals for the kids to visit – sheep, goats, pigs, horses etc, as well as an area dedicated to small animals like rabbits and chickens. There’s an enclosed play area and tractor rides (tractor rides incur an additional small charge) and have regular events on over the summer, such as the Supercars event on 3rd August. Picnics aren’t allowed so if you want to eat there you’ll need to visit their cafe if funds will stretch but you wont be disappointed – the food is good and, as is to be expected, the cafe is uber child friendly with books, toys and tables outside so they can run around if they want to.
