11am – 3.30pm (last entry 3.00pm)
Get in to the festive mood and explore rooms decorated with festive splendour. Come shine or snow, visit the house to see Christmas through the memories of 10 year old Phyllis Legh, the daughter of Lord Newton, as she takes you on her experience of a Country House at Christmas,’ inspired by her real memoirs.
“The weather didn’t matter, how could it, with a house full of delightful visitors and such a house to play in? There would be the Christmas tree with all its presents; games in the drawing room, music and dancing in the hall… and all the time everybody, particularly the grown-ups, happy, good-humoured, joking and jolly, ready at any moment to romp and play the fool…” ~ Phyllis.

However, in her enthusiasm, she turns the key the wrong way and the cogs of time are dispersed and time stands still. In a quest to find the missing parts, you will embark on an immersive journey, meeting magical characters along the way, and becoming heroes of this unique story as you overcome each challenge to restore the inner workings of the clock just in time for Christmas!
This spellbinding festive adventure ends with an opportunity to meet Father Christmas, tell him your Christmas wish, take photographs and receive a gift.
