The Smile Group

The SMILE Group was co-founded by Natalie Nuttall and Ruth Eglin in 2011 after they both experienced PND and felt passionate about the need for parents to benefit from sustained peer support at a local level.

When we set The SMILE Group up we wanted it to be a place where families can relax and not feel judged or intimidated in any way. The group is a drop-in format and there is no pressure to attend regularly.

We invite parents to chat, drink tea and there is always a welcoming smile and an open door. We also enable mums and dads to indulge in valuable ‘me’ time with sample complementary therapy treatments to bring a sense of wellbeing.

See the Smile Group’s website for information on the weekly meet ups in Macclesfield, Congleton and Sandbach.

Awesome Mums’ Brunch Club

Awesome Mums’ Brunch Club is a community of brilliant people who support each other through the ups and downs of parenting.

The main purposes of the group are to help break down the stigma surrounding maternal mental health and signpost mums on ways to support themselves or seek extra help if needed, as it affects a huge percentage of women. We also run events in Wilmslow, Cheshire, to give mums a place to meet other like-minded awesome women, have a cuppa, some cake and a good time!

Home-Start is one of the leading family support charities in the UK.

Families struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems, bereavement and many other issues receive the support of a volunteer who will spend around two hours a week in a family’s home supporting them in the ways they need.
