⭐️ Stockport Garrick Theatre

Take a back-stage guided tour of Stockport Garrick Theatre. Audience members usually only see the public rooms and the auditorium, this is an opportunity to look behind the scenes. Plus YouTube performances, history presentations and photo ops.
Have you ever wondered what work goes on backstage to present a play? Why not take the opportunity to find out and take a virtual, or physical, tour of the Garrick. Stockport Garrick was established in 1901 and has occupied its current premises since 1920. It is part of an old mill building on the A6, near to The Hat Museum, and as such it is a veritable rabbit warren.
Experience a history presentation, check out the costume department, see our fabulous new basement renovation.
We are also creating a virtual tour of the theatre for HODs 2021 to show our completed renovations as well as some other exciting features. This online tour will be available for the duration of the 2021 festival.

⭐️ Rediscovering the Underbanks

Come and visit the Underbanks for a day filled with fun activities for all the family and learn more about Stockport’s historic street!
On Saturday 11th of September, the Underbanks will welcome visitors to our Heritage Open Day!
The historic street will be filled with music as a local DJ plays underneath St. Petersgate Bridge.
We will also be hosting a series of heritage activities on the day with Underbanks Studios, a local arts collective.
While visitors enjoy the day, they will be able to see the ongoing regeneration works taking place in the area.
