The Hewitt family are planting around 28,000 pumpkin plants this year to celebrate the return of the Dunham Pumpkin Patch!
Different varieties have been planted including traditional orange pumpkins, gourds and knobbly pumpkins as well as last year’s very popular Ghost Rider Pumpkins! To make the experience even more magical, you will be able to pick the pumpkins straight from the vines where they have grown. They will have pre-cut them from the vine for ease.
There are photo boards to create more memories while pumpkin picking – including the giant chair and they have added a wagon train for people to have a ride around the apple orchards while onsite at the farm as well.
Situated 5 minutes Dunham Massey Hall and Gardens they run a booking system which has worked brilliantly the last 2 years as well as just paying for a car park ticket (regardless of how many people are in the car) – book this via the website www.dunhampumpkins.co.uk
As well as the photoboards and tractor rides they also have Little Red Pizza cooking their very tasty wood-fired pizzas and will be serving hot drinks and snacks on-site as well.
It’s going to be a fabulous pumpkin season and they’re looking forward to seeing you at Dunham Pumpkins!!
